A French video games studio created in 2019 and specialized in serious gaming, wants to co-develop a high-quality narrative video game, based mainly on regional cultural themes and drawing on folklore.
The SME is seeking a partner to coordinate a consortium and apply to the next “video games and immersive content development” call (Creative Europe programme). This call targets projects with high-level of originality and innovative and creative value. The French SME fully matches these expectations since they have developed a commercially distributed video game dedicated to the fight against discrimination in the workplace and at school. The company also conducts world-renowned scientific research in the fields of game studies, digital sociology and literature. The company employs 12 people including 2 researchers.
The French SME with extensive expertise in diversity and inclusion, is looking for a partner who shares its values and work ethic, and who wants to promote little-known local cultures by co-developing a video game. The game will be commercially distributed to the public via mobile devices and/or PC/Mac.
For the Creative Europe project, the French video games studio can contribute to the following activities, but the final contribution will be decided in consultation with the partner:
- Technical engine development (Unity, Unreal Engine, Ren’py)
- Project deployment & shipping on PC and mobile devices
- Production of 2D and 3D graphic assets, UI, animations and SFX
- Narrative design, scripting, writing
- Game design, level design, UX/UI design
- Agile SCRUM project management
The project will last 36 months.

The partner sought is a European video game production company, XR studio, or a audiovisual production company, with an experience in sound design for instance.
The partner must have produced or developed a video game or an immersive content for commercial distribution between 01/01/21 and 24/01/24.
The partner will be in charge of the co-development of the video game (specific activities will be decided with the French SME) and the project management.
To be eligible for the Creative Europe programme, the partner must be established in one of the EU member states or in a participating country in Creative Europe programme (see list of eligible countries)
